~Pretty In Pink {IHEARTFACES}~Roanoke, VA Photographer

Pink, pink everywhere!  It may be my favorite color, but this month it is a reminder to us all of the huge fight against breast cancer!

I saw the I HEART FACES-Pink Challenge and the image of this sweet little newborn popped right into my head!

Meet sweet little Evelyn!

~UVA Garden Engagement~

SO in love! These two are preparing for their wedding in October, but a morning on the campus of their alma mater was a perfect time to relax and remember where they fell in love–and got engaged!  Best wished to a wonderful future!

~Back to School, Back to School….~

It is that time again!!  Kiddos, I’m sorry…..parents, start your happy dance =)

~Welker Wedding~ Ithaca, NY Wedding Photographer

I was beyond honored to be asked to travel to the stunning campus of Cornell University to capture Suzanne & Steve’s wedding. It was a wonderful whirlwind of a weekend with guests coming in from all over the world! And many of those guests and family members were VERY musically talented.  The weekend and wedding were a such a reflection of the couple; it was a true treat to enjoy all of the music and beautiful surroundings where they spent their undergrad years.  Thank you all again & Best Wishes!!

~It runs in the family~

I’m so lucky to have started working with the Sizemore family when Miss Ari was just a few months old and always enjoy our shoots together! They usually include Marc playing guitar—which is a treat!— and this session they brought the ukulele Ari loves! I think its in her blood =)

~B is for MY Birthday!~

It just so happens that my birthday fell on “B week” soooo, why not use it! If its going to be as cold as its been lately, I want to see some snow, so I was especially hoping for some on my birthday.  Well, it didn’t show up on my birthday, but the next day while I was working from home…..whatttayaknow, just a few flurries showed up for a bit!  The other images show the adorable card from my aunt and uncle–thanks guys =)

Let’s see what next week brings with C!  Have any suggestions for what my subjects should be? Leave me a comment!!

~A is for Auctions~

I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a while and I decided there is no better time than the new year to start!  I’m embarking on a little challenge to play with my creativity.  I will be going through the alphabet and choosing my subject(s)  from the letters.  As I decided to start, I was heading to the Virginia Auctioneers Association convention with my hubby, so what better to start with than the “AUCTION” convention.  I didn’t reallllly participate in the convention part–dear hubby sent me for a little spa time for my upcoming Birthday—-so, I took the opportunity to take some shots around the lovely Omni hotel downtown Richmond.  These are just a few of my favorites from the weekend, but it really got me excited about this challenge.  Let’s see what the letter B will bring us =)

“Seniors, Seniors, Seniors are the best”
